Getting restaurant orders from the Internet is easier and more profitable than ever before. Now there are many additional reasons to start using this technology, other than accurate, fast orders with improved customer experiences.
One of the largest benefits a good restaurant online order system will deliver is automated customer database building. While grabbing customer information using comment cards, a fishbowl on the counter and other tactics is important, by training your guests to place orders from their computers at home or work you’ll get the necessary information in a natural way.
To explore the many reasons for using an Internet ordering system, Nathan Gilder interviewed David Litchman, the founder of the small chain of Chicago restaurants Pockets and creator of the internet ordering system iMenu360.
David first explored online ordering nearly five years ago because he was frustrated with the process required when taking them over the phone. Inaccurate orders, non-native English speakers and sometimes poor customer experiences convinced him there must be a better way, and the first version of iMenu was established.
PocketsOnline now has a database of over 30,000 customers and the company is able to successfully market to these folks and generate tens-of-thousands of dollars in revenue for mere pennies per order. And after years of improvements, iMenu has been produced to allow restaurants across the United States access the same power the David’s company has experienced.

Restaurant Marketing - Online Coupons - RunningRestaurants.com
Yesterday at 3:32pm, Jaime Oikle gave me a call. The 5 minute planned “event” morphed into a 35+ minute session on marketing strategies for restaurant’s today.
We didn’t cover everything of course, but he got me to totally spill the beans on a number of secrets and tactics I use in my business and for my clients.
Normally Jaime would make a long form informational call like this available to paid members only. But it just has too much in there of value that folks can use and grab for their business. So he chose to host it in the public arena (for now). He’ll most likely move it to the member area in a week or so get to it ASAP.
